Wes Albers
Wes Albers is a well-established figure in the Southern California writing community as the Director of the Southern California Writers' Conferences in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. Wes has been involved in the writing community for more than a decade and has helped to facilitate hundreds of first time book and movie deals for new authors.
His own writing draws from his thirty year history on the San Diego police force, first as a patrolman, then as sergeant. He now serves as Detective Sergeant in charge of Border Investigations, as well as Staff Sergeant supervising the Emergency Negotiations Team, a hybrid team of hostage negotiators from the San Diego Police, the FBI, and NCIS. His novel, Black and White, was written with the aim of sharing the complex struggles and experiences of his own career with crime fiction readers around the world.
